Introduction of Rice-farming Cultural Museum

The cultures of rice farming have affected the living life and thoughts in language, literature, art and belief of the people as well as played the role of food supply. Gimjae is located in the center of the Honam plains, which is the richest grain district in the country. Also the oldest and biggest reservoir, Byeongoljae is located here in Gimjae.
Gimjae, the place of origin of rice farming, is the rich district with the best climate and fertile land. It is also the only place with the horizon in the country. It is located in the central region of Mangyeong River from Daedun Mountain and Dongjin River from Naejang Mountain, which is the geographical background of rice farming.
It is to systemize the information of the cultures of rice farming to manage the tradition of rice farming cultures and provide the researches and information of rice farming.
