Farmer's folk music is the
representative folk recreation of rural community. The name 'Nongak'
means agricultural recreation, and it is also called 'Pungmul', 'Pungjang',
'Maegu' and 'Durae'.
It originates in the festival performed when they seed and harvest
to pray for a rich year. But it is also said that Nongak was played
for raise the fighting spirit for hunting and war. |
| The musical instruments such as Kwanggwari,
Buk, Jing and Sogo were added to stick, screaming and dancing of primitive
form as the tool developed. |
