Jipyeongseon Festival, a local festival designated
as the Tourist Cultural Festival by the Ministry of Culture
and Tourism in 2001, is organized every autumn by the Gimje
municipal government to spread the message of the agricultural
culture as well as to provide amusement and artistic impression
by means of jipyeongseon (horizon).
The repertoire of the festival includes performances of various
arts, Korean traditional cultural events, rural culture experiencing
events and marine experiencing events. The organizer strives
to make this festival a tourist cultural festival representing
Korea as well as the province. |
