A wine designated as the provincial
intangible cultural asset No. 6, Songsunju is a special wine
exclusively produced by the family of Gyeongju Kim. Songsunju
does not cause hangover and headache and is good to prevention
of toothache and physical invigoration. Records or mention
of the medicinal effects of this wine are found in many old
literatures including "Donguibogam' and other books of
Chosun period. The know-how of the manufacture of this wine
has been handed down to Kim Boksun who currently lives 384-24,
Yochon-dong, Gimje.
