| Geumsan-but, one of the Geumsansa
special products, comes out from the brush shop located at
the entrance of Geumsansa commercial quarter. Chae Jubong
(aged 78 as of 2002), the master of the Korean writing brush
manufacturing, learned the manufacturing technique and opened
the shop when the trade was on the way to declination. As
the brushes are made through the process of over 50 steps,
it takes several days in making a large one and 3 to 4 small
ones are made a day at most. The roebuck fur is said to be
the most precious material and from the most expensive Yijeongaekpil,
the viewers can appreciate the fine gloss as generated from
hair of a maiden. A visit to this bruch shop will give you
unusual refreshment and enjoyment. |
