Geumsansa (Buddhist temple)
Geumsansa is situated at the southern foot of Mt. Moak, 39, Geumsan-ri, Geumsan-myeon, Gimje-si. This Jeonbuk's greatest Buddhist temple is said that Jinpyo, a Saint during the Shilla period, rebuilt the initial small temple to the large scale in AD 762 and dedicated a Buddha statue as high as 33 cheok's to make this temple to be the main seminary of Mireuk faith and the head temple of Beobsang Order. An allegation has been also handed down that this temple became to grow to a great temple by the help of the faith of Gyenhweon, the founder of Hubaekje
